Schedule: 5 total classes – Once a week

• 3 consecutive weeks of building clay projects
• 1 week break for drying/firing
• 2 final classes for glazing projects

Description:

Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing! This fun and interactive afterschool class will offer students in grades 3–5 an opportunity to explore the art of handbuilding with clay in a creative and supportive environment. Meeting once a week, students will learn foundational ceramic techniques including pinch pot, slab-building, and coil-building. Through hands-on instruction and guided projects, students will create three unique clay pieces—each designed to highlight a different technique. This class encourages creativity, builds fine motor skills, and provides students with a deeper appreciation for the ceramic arts.

No experience necessary! All materials included. This class is perfect for young artists who love to build, sculpt, and get creative.
