Middle School Co-Ed Intramural Basketball 2025-26Intramural SportsMiddle School Co-Ed Intramural Basketball Grades 6-8 Do you want to play some basketball after school this fall? Intramural sports provide a safe, enjoyable environment for youth of any skill level to participate in a variety of recreational activities. Players will focus on the fundamentals of the game, enhance skills, discover the value and importance of good sportsmanship, and have fun! Boeckman youth will need to ride the activity bus to Dodge right after school. The bus leaves promptly so be sure not to miss it. If a youth misses the bus, please direct them to call for a ride or report to the front office for assistance. Boeckman youth will need to report to the gym by 3:45 after school. Middle School Interscholastic Track & Field 2026Interscholastic SportsMiddle School Interscholastic Track & Field Grades 6-8 Farmington Community Education is now facilitating middle school interscholastic (against other middle schools) programs - including track & field. This interscholastic track & field program is for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from Boeckman and Dodge middle schools. The interscholastic programs each include about 20 practices in Farmington and, weather permitting, up to 5 track & field meets against other middle schools (like Lakeville, Northfield, New Prague, and more). The purpose of interscholastic programs is participation, involvement, and development of skills beneficial for future success. These skills include Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Cooperation, Loyalty, Goal Setting, Work Ethic, Organization, Self-Discipline, Perseverance, and of course Sportsmanship. Adults lead practices and coach at matches. Practices will take place at the track at Boeckman Middle School from 4:00-5:30 pm. Dodge Middle School students take the after school activity bus over to Boeckman. Home meets will take place at Boeckman Middle School. Meets typically go from about 4:15 until between 6:00-6:15. Northern Italian DinnerArtsLaurel Severson Our evening feast will start with two classic appetizers, the first using prosciutto ham and mozzarella cheese ( Spiedini alla Romana) and the second prosciutto wrapped melon to whet your appetite. We'll learn how to create two creamy risottos using Arborio rice, both the classic white risotto featuring the magnificent freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese as well as risotto with dried porcini mushrooms. A winter vegetable dish (Cicorie alla Griglia) highlights grilled Belgian endives although zucchini, bell peppers and onions are also being prepared in a similar manner.
