Students will model unique creations in three dimensions, experiment with shapes and structures, and transform their digital ideas into real objects using 3D printers. While prints are finishing, campers can join Nintendo-themed challenges and even design their own video games inspired by the characters they love. ACT Prep Class1- Academic, Health, & SafetyACT Prep Classes Advantage Educational ProgramsGrades 10-12 The ACT Preparatory Courses are designed for those who wish to improve their test-taking skills and their overall scores on the college entrance exams. The course includes diagnostic testing, strategies for answering questions in all testing areas, instruction in time management, essay writing, and more. Youth can choose to attend classes located at Farmington High School, online, or at other area schools. In-School Course Students preferring the traditional teaching format with an in-person instructor should choose this course. It consists of four, three-hour classes, meeting at a specific location, one day a week. Students who miss a class will be provided with access to recorded virtual online instruction. Tuition for the 12-hour ACT in-person course is $180, with all class materials included. Students can also repeat the course online at any time, until they graduate, free of charge. Babysitter Training Summer1- Academic, Health, & SafetySarah Erickson Babysitting Basics Course (Ages 11–15) Participants must be at least 11 years old by the date of the class. Gain the skills and confidence you need to become a trusted babysitter in your neighborhood! This fun, hands-on 4-hour course is designed for youth ages 11–15 and focuses on safety, responsibility, and professionalism. What you’ll learn: How to care for infants and children, including feeding, handling, and diapering Basic first aid and safety practices Understanding child behavior Fun and age-appropriate activity ideas Emergency procedures and how to respond Leadership and communication skills Tips on starting and growing your babysitting business Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded a Farmington Community Education Babysitter certificate. Band - Middle School Summer Semi-Private Lessons 2026Middle School BandFor students entering grades 6 - 9 (26-27 school year) Lessons run for 8 weeks, June 9 - August 4, for $90.00. Campfire CookingRecreation & SportsEco Elsa Ages 9-15 Kids will take their fire skills to the next level by not only learning how to make fire and different fire structures but the science of using fire to cook things too! This class will teach all the basics like s’mores and tinfoil packets up to more advanced skills like dutch oven baking and spit roasting over the fire. Your campfire chefs will know how to make full course meals by the end of this class in addition to how to make a fire and manage it safely. Additionally, if your site allows it and there are things in season we may also do some foraging for some of the recipes too! We are working hard to have recipes for all dietary needs that are things kids will enjoy cooking and will be using a lot of raw and unprocessed ingredients and also have vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options for most of the recipes we make. Please let us know if your child has dietary needs beyond this and we will work with you to make alterations when possible! (ages 9+)Summer 2026 -
