DASH Sports Grades K-5 DASH Sports Track & Field camp provides participants with practice in several areas including: sprinting, throwing (javelin and shot put), relay running, long jumping and distance running. Emphasis is on technique and proper form. All players will be timed/tested on the first and last day. Camp consists of many different types of physical activities, drills, and games, all tailored specifically to enhance overall track and field performance. Campers should wear sunscreen, bring a water bottle, snack, and wear athletic clothing/shoes. Dakota County 4-H is part of the University of Minnesota’s Extension Youth Development program. Train your dog in disciplines like obedience, tricks, agility, and more with the support of trainers that will help your child and canine companion succeed. Tracy Crofoot Grades K-5 Creepy Crawly Creatures camp is a great summer activity for your nature enthusiast! Campers will go on a journey of discovery and learn about nature’s most undesirable creatures. They will learn about creatures that are often thought of as pests, but really are beneficial to our environment. Weather permitting, campers will get ‘back to nature’ by venturing outside making their own observations and discoveries just like a naturalist! Please bring Water bottle, sunscreen, and play clothes!

Eco Elsa Ages 9-15 Kids will take their fire skills to the next level by not only learning how to make fire and different fire structures but the science of using fire to cook things too! This class will teach all the basics like s’mores and tinfoil packets up to more advanced skills like dutch oven baking and spit roasting over the fire. Your campfire chefs will know how to make full course meals by the end of this class in addition to how to make a fire and manage it safely. Additionally, if your site allows it and there are things in season we may also do some foraging for some of the recipes too! We are working hard to have recipes for all dietary needs that are things kids will enjoy cooking and will be using a lot of raw and unprocessed ingredients and also have vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free options for most of the recipes we make. Please let us know if your child has dietary needs beyond this and we will work with you to make alterations when possible! (ages 9+)

Tech Academy Incoming Grades 3-8 Get ready for an exciting class filled with new builds and challenges! Students will take their engineering skills to the next level by constructing remote-controlled robots inspired by the popular Discovery Channel show BattleBots. Using LEGO® Robotics systems and specialized Technic™ engineering components, they’ll build extreme machines designed for competition. Working in small teams of two to three, students will test, re-engineer, and morph their robots to become better, stronger, and faster before entering them into a high-energy tournament on the final day.

Tech Academy Incoming Grades 3-7 Design, develop, and create 3D virtual reality environments and characters to build your own VR games. Students will start with smaller projects to learn the basics of coding, design, and interaction. In the final two days, they will construct a full labyrinth complete with challenges, characters, and immersive exploration. This camp is ideal for students passionate about technology and creativity. VR projects can be viewed on most mobile devices and VR systems such as Oculus.
