Ages K-5 Experience a fantastic program for exercise and reading! Kids meet after school and will run a course for the day. After running they will have a snack and read! Bring your own books or if you'd like books will be provided. A great way to end the school day! Healthy snacks will be provided.

Kidcreate Studios Ages 5-12 Jump into the Fizzy, Fun, and Slime Lab! Kids will create rainbow fizz, erupting ice cream cone volcanoes, water bead stress balls, and an array of ooey gooey slime creations. This hands-on class is packed with science, messy fun, and endless excitement!

DASH Sports After School Flag Football Grades K-4 DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats and mouthguards are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided.

DASH Sports After School Cheer Grades K-4 DASH Sports Cheer camps provide athletes with an introduction to cheerleading. Campers will learn several cheers with focus on body control, jumping, & proper movements. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, & a positive attitude! Campers should bring a water bottle & wear athletic clothing & shoes.

Music Appreciation Join Mr. Charlie for a fun and engaging journey through the world of music in this after-school enrichment class designed for students in grades 1–5 at Riverview Elementary. In Music Appreciation, students will explore how music has evolved across time, cultures, and styles, and discover the stories behind the songs and artists they know and love. Students will learn about music history in an age-appropriate and interactive way, including how different genres developed, what influenced composers and musicians, and how historical events, culture, and technology shaped the music we hear today. Through listening activities, discussions, games, and other outlets, students will build a deeper understanding of music as both an art form and a reflection of the world around us. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize different musical styles, describe basic influences on artists and genres, and develop a greater appreciation for the role music plays in everyday life and throughout history.

Young Rembrandts In this session, students explore a variety of engaging subjects while learning important artistic techniques such as proportion,texture, shading, and pattern. Young artists will enjoy creating a delicious Pizza drawing whilepracticing detail and composition. An adorable Baby Sloth introduces character design andexpressive faces, while our portrait of Hiawatha offers an opportunity to explore art history andcultural storytelling through drawing. Each lesson encourages creativity while strengtheningfoundational drawing skills and artistic confidence.

Drum Club is open for Farmington Elementary 4th-5th graders only. Drum Club will allow students to explore drumming and other percussion instruments, improve music reading skills, learn music of various cultures, interpret music through expression, and have a blast drumming! The final Drum Club practice will include a parent preview. Sarah Anderson teaches K-5 general music at Farmington Elementary. She has been teaching for 14 years, 8 at FES. Sarah has her Master of Arts in music education from the University of St. Thomas, and she has a passion for drumming and world music.
