NewMiddle School Co-Ed Intramural Basketball 2026-27Intramural SportsMiddle School Co-Ed Intramural Basketball Grades 6-8 Do you want to play some basketball after school this fall? Intramural sports provide a safe, enjoyable environment for youth of any skill level to participate in a variety of recreational activities. Players will focus on the fundamentals of the game, enhance skills, discover the value and importance of good sportsmanship, and have fun! Boeckman youth will need to ride the activity bus to Dodge right after school. The bus leaves promptly so be sure not to miss it. If a youth misses the bus, please direct them to call for a ride or report to the front office for assistance. Boeckman youth will need to report to the gym by 3:45 after school. NewMiddle School Co-Ed Intramural Volleyball 2026Intramural SportsMiddle School Co-Ed Intramural Volleyball Grades 6-8 Farmington Community Education is offering this opportunity for girls and boys new to volleyball or those that are unable to participate in the interscholastic program (against other school). This intramural (In-House) volleyball program is for middle school girls and boys from Boeckman and Dodge middle schools. The purpose of intramurals is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for students of any skill level to participate in a variety of recreational activities. Participants will focus on the fundamentals of the game, enhance skills, discover the value and importance of good sportsmanship, and have fun. An adult coach will lead each session. Sessions will take place at Dodge Middle School from 4:00-5:30 pm. Boeckman Middle School students take the after school activity bus over to Dodge. NewMiddle School Girls Interscholastic Tennis 2026Interscholastic SportsMiddle School Girls Interscholastic Tennis Grades 6-8 This middle school interscholastic (against other middle schools) tennis program is for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls from Boeckman and Dodge middle schools. 14 practices in Farmington and 10 matches against other middle schools (like Burnsville, Lakeville, Northfield, New Prague, and more) are scheduled. The goal of the middle school interscholastic athletics is participation, involvement, and development of skills beneficial for future success. These skills include Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Cooperation, Loyalty, Goal Setting, Work Ethic, Organization, Self-Discipline, Perseverance, and of course Sportsmanship. Adults lead practices and coach at matches. Practices will take place at the tennis courts at Boeckman Middle School from 4:00-5:30 pm. Dodge Middle School students take the after school activity bus over to Boeckman. Home matches will take place at the tennis courts at Boeckman Middle School. Usually "home" matches will start between 4:15 and 4:30 and take about an hour and a half. Away matches may start as early as 4:15 or as late as 4:30 and takes about an hour and a half. Please note that there is no school bus (transportation) to or from away matches. The interscholastic girls' volleyball program has two 7th grade teams and separately has two 8th grade teams - made up of a combination of girls from Boeckman and Dodge middle schools. There are 14 practice days at Boeckman and 10 matches against other middle schools (like Lakeville, Northfield, New Prague, and more). The purpose of interscholastic programs is participation, involvement, and development of skills beneficial for future success. These skills include Leadership, Teamwork, Communication, Cooperation, Loyalty, Goal Setting, Work Ethic, Organization, Self-Discipline, Perseverance, and of course Sportsmanship. Adults lead practices and coach at matches. Registrations are limited in an attempt to just have one A-team and one B-team for each grade. There is a separate registration for 7th grade and 8th grade. Each one will have a waiting list in the event that someone from that grade cancels after having registered.
