A+ Driving School Students may start classroom driving lessons at age 14, take the Knowledge Test and obtain their Instruction Permit at age 15, and take the Road Test and obtain their Provisional License at age 16. To be eligible to take the Road Test, students must have had their Instruction Permit for a minimum of six months. Registration for A+ Driving School. Click here to go to the site to register. The Driver's Education Program is divided into two phases: Classroom Phase This phase includes the required 30 hours of classroom instruction that prepares the student to take the Minnesota permit test and to take on the responsibility of driving. If a lesson is missed, a make-up lesson can be arranged with the office at either the next Farmington session or at another A+ session. This portion can be taken virtually or in-person. Behind-the-Wheel PhaseAfter students pass the permit test, they are required to complete six hours of driving lessons. The lessons are provided in three, two-hour lessons. The lessons are one-on-one instruction with instructors licensed through the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Students can be picked up from and dropped off at home, school or work. Detailed information about scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons will be provided by A+. Please note: you can only schedule these one at a time and they may be booked out a month or so. Can't Make Every Lesson? If you miss a lesson, you are responsible for making up that exact lesson number. You can attend any A+ classroom or any community education program to make up a missed lesson. Please call A+ the office the day before so we can add the student to the attendance roster. Sarah Erickson Babysitting Basics Course (Ages 11–15) Participants must be at least 11 years old by the date of the class. Gain the skills and confidence you need to become a trusted babysitter in your neighborhood! This fun, hands-on 4-hour course is designed for youth ages 11–15 and focuses on safety, responsibility, and professionalism. What you’ll learn: How to care for infants and children, including feeding, handling, and diapering Basic first aid and safety practices Understanding child behavior Fun and age-appropriate activity ideas Emergency procedures and how to respond Leadership and communication skills Tips on starting and growing your babysitting business Upon successful completion of the course, participants are awarded a Farmington Community Education Babysitter certificate. Tracy Crofoot Grades K-5 Creepy Crawly Creatures camp is a great fall activity for your nature enthusiast! Campers will go on a journey of discovery and learn about nature’s most undesirable creatures. They will learn about creatures that are often thought of as pests, but really are beneficial to our environment. Weather permitting, campers will get ‘back to nature’ by venturing outside making their own observations and discoveries just like a naturalist! Campers will learn more about becoming a Citizen Scientist and how they can contribute to conservation too.

DASH Sports After School Flag Football Grades K-4 DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats and mouthguards are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided.

DASH Sports After School Cheer Grades K-4 DASH Sports Cheer camps provide athletes with an introduction to cheerleading. Campers will learn several cheers with focus on body control, jumping, & proper movements. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, & a positive attitude! Campers should bring a water bottle & wear athletic clothing & shoes.

Led by Competition Cheer Coaches Ages 3-Grade 5 Do you have lots of spirit? Want to learn what it takes to become a cheerleader? Athletes will learn the proper technique for cheer jumps, arm motions, cheers, stunts, dance and tumbling basics. Learn a short routine and be part of a group! This class is a great opportunity to get a taste of what competitive cheer is like, without the commitment or cost, and no experience is required! The class will perform their routine at the Farmington Competition Cheer Home Meet on Saturday, November 22. A t-shirt and bow is included. Cornerstone on the Vermillion Instructor: Michelle Michaud Ages 4-17 Do you love horses? Our camps are all horses, all the time! Spend time bonding with some incredible show horses. All abilities are welcome to join us for an action packed camp and learn western, English, and bareback riding, horsemanship, groundwork, and training. Choose to attend one day or both days! Participants begin their days with horsemanship skill development, followed by horse training. Connecting & partnering with the horses is emphasized throughout each day. Riding multiple horses throughout camp with emphasis on rider safety, core, seat and legs. Each day refreshing all skills learned the previous day. Our camps are coached to develop skills, connection & understanding of these magnificent animals. Please bring a bicycle helmet if you have one, otherwise riding helmets are provided. Middle School Co-Ed Intramural Basketball Grades 6-8 Do you want to play some basketball after school this fall? Intramural sports provide a safe, enjoyable environment for youth of any skill level to participate in a variety of recreational activities. Players will focus on the fundamentals of the game, enhance skills, discover the value and importance of good sportsmanship, and have fun! Boeckman youth will need to ride the activity bus to Dodge right after school. The bus leaves promptly so be sure not to miss it. If a youth misses the bus, please direct them to call for a ride or report to the front office for assistance. Boeckman youth will need to report to the gym by 3:45 after school. No snack will be provided, but youth are encouraged to bring their own snack and drink.

Music Appreciation Join Mr. Charlie for a fun and engaging journey through the world of music in this after-school enrichment class designed for students in grades 1–5 at Riverview Elementary. In Music Appreciation, students will explore how music has evolved across time, cultures, and styles, and discover the stories behind the songs and artists they know and love. Students will learn about music history in an age-appropriate and interactive way, including how different genres developed, what influenced composers and musicians, and how historical events, culture, and technology shaped the music we hear today. Through listening activities, discussions, games, and other outlets, students will build a deeper understanding of music as both an art form and a reflection of the world around us. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize different musical styles, describe basic influences on artists and genres, and develop a greater appreciation for the role music plays in everyday life and throughout history.

Little Golfers Program TGA’s Little Golfers Program is built just for young players, with a low 6:1 student-to-coach ratio so kids get plenty of attention and hands-on instruction in a fun, supportive setting. Our trained coaches make learning golf exciting with games and activities that teach grip, stance, swing, putting, and chipping. Along the way, kids also explore golf rules, etiquette, and a fun STEAM tie-in that helps bring the game to life. We encourage parents to join in the fun and assist their child during the session—especially for the younger kids who might need a little extra help or encouragement. No gear? No problem. We provide all equipment, and no experience is needed. Each participant gets a TGA hat, handbook, and wristband, with more prizes and giveaways throughout the program.
