Women's Self-Defense SeminarHealth and SafetyMaster Jeff Wood This self-defense seminar will assist participants in gaining the strategies and the prowess to protect themselves from attack situations which are common and unique to women. The students will acquire effective preemptive tactics, escape maneuvers, physical techniques, and proficiency in utilizing self-defense devices, to end assaults quickly. Woodworking for Youth6- Other Sports & Recreation Programs{YEL!} WOODWORKING For students entering 4th – 7th grades Build a picture frame, a race car, catapult and trophy display base. Builders will learn to measure, cut, sand, paint and then take home each project they build. This Youth Enrichment League (YEL) class educates students on the use of basic tools (hammers, nails, screwdriver, measuring tape, t-square and more). SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY. No power tools will be used in class. Youth Horse Camps6- Other Sports & Recreation ProgramsCornerstone on the Vermillion Instructor: Michelle Michaud Ages 4-17 Do you love horses? Our camps are all horses, all the time! Spend time bonding with some incredible show horses. All abilities are welcome to join us for an action-packed camp and learn western, English, and bareback riding, horsemanship, groundwork, and training. Choose to attend one day or both days! Participants begin their days with horsemanship skill development, followed by horse training. Connecting & partnering with the horses is emphasized throughout each day. Riding multiple horses throughout camp with emphasis on rider safety, core, seat and legs. Each day refreshing all skills learned the previous day. Our camps are coached to develop skills, connection & understanding of these magnificent animals. Please bring a bicycle helmet if you have one, otherwise riding helmets are provided. Master Jeff Wood Master Jeff has been a Martial Arts student continuously since September of 1964, studying multiple styles in the United States, Korea, Japan, and China. In 1981 he began his career as an instructor, and over the past 40 years has devoted himself to helping all his students achieve their highest potential in all aspects of their self-defense training. Campers will go on a journey of discovery and learn about zoo animals by a former zoo keeper. They will learn about animal diets, habitats, and enrichment.
