Tracy Crofoot Grades K-5 Creepy Crawly Creatures camp is a great fall activity for your nature enthusiast! Campers will go on a journey of discovery and learn about nature’s most undesirable creatures. They will learn about creatures that are often thought of as pests, but really are beneficial to our environment. Weather permitting, campers will get ‘back to nature’ by venturing outside making their own observations and discoveries just like a naturalist! Campers will learn more about becoming a Citizen Scientist and how they can contribute to conservation too.

DASH Sports After School Cheer Grades K-4 DASH Sports Cheer camps provide athletes with an introduction to cheerleading. Campers will learn several cheers with focus on body control, jumping, & proper movements. Emphasis will be placed on sportsmanship, teamwork, & a positive attitude! Campers should bring a water bottle & wear athletic clothing & shoes.

DASH Sports After School Flag Football Grades K-4 DASH Sports flag football camps provide players with a well-rounded football experience in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, and Pride’. Camp ends with a scrimmage the final day. Athletes should bring a water bottle (spikes/cleats and mouthguards are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided.

DASH Sports Ages 6-12 Multi-Sport (SC, FF, BK) DASH Sports Summer Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Basketball, and Flag Football. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports so athletes will come out of camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Camp ends with games/scrimmages the final day for each sport, where athletes can showcase their skills. Campers should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle, snack and wear athletic shoes and clothing. All equipment is provided.

DASH Sports Ages 3-5 DASH Sports Soccer Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the game of soccer. Key elements of dribbling, passing, and shooting will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes (spikes and shin guards optional). Soccer balls are provided. Parent participation is required for the 3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

DASH Sports Grades K-5th DASH Sports volleyball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key volleyball skills such as passing, serving, and hitting will be taught and practiced. Fun, volleyball skill specific games are also incorporated, giving players game type experience, and a better understanding of the game! Athletes should bring a water bottle and nut free snack. Knee pads are optional. Balls are provided.

DASH Sports Grades K - 5th DASH Sports volleyball camps provide players with a well-rounded experience in a fun environment. Key volleyball skills such as passing, serving, and hitting will be taught and practiced. Drama Lab - Aaron Strawn Grades 1-5 Calling all students who love to laugh, try new things, and make friends. These drama sessions are created to unlock and embrace the incredible imaginations of youth! We use games, activities, skits, and so much more. A+ Driving School Students may start classroom driving lessons at age 14, take the Knowledge Test and obtain their Instruction Permit at age 15, and take the Road Test and obtain their Provisional License at age 16. To be eligible to take the Road Test, students must have had their Instruction Permit for a minimum of six months. Registration for A+ Driving School. Click here to go to the site to register. The Driver's Education Program is divided into two phases: Classroom Phase This phase includes the required 30 hours of classroom instruction that prepares the student to take the Minnesota permit test and to take on the responsibility of driving. If a lesson is missed, a make-up lesson can be arranged with the office at either the next Farmington session or at another A+ session. This portion can be taken virtually or in-person. Behind-the-Wheel PhaseAfter students pass the permit test, they are required to complete six hours of driving lessons. The lessons are provided in three, two-hour lessons. The lessons are one-on-one instruction with instructors licensed through the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Students can be picked up from and dropped off at home, school or work. Detailed information about scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons will be provided by A+. Please note: you can only schedule these one at a time and they may be booked out a month or so. Can't Make Every Lesson? If you miss a lesson, you are responsible for making up that exact lesson number. You can attend any A+ classroom or any community education program to make up a missed lesson. Please call A+ the office the day before so we can add the student to the attendance roster. Disclaimer: This contract expires 2 years from the first day of classroom training or when the student turns 18, whichever occurs first. All classes and BTW lessons must be completed before the expiration date. Drum Club is open for Farmington Elementary 4th-5th graders only. Drum Club will allow students to explore drumming and other percussion instruments, improve music reading skills, learn music of various cultures, interpret music through expression, and have a blast drumming! The final Drum Club practice will include a parent preview. Sarah Anderson teaches K-5 general music at Farmington Elementary. She has been teaching for 14 years, 8 at FES. Sarah has her Master of Arts in music education from the University of St. Thomas, and she has a passion for drumming and world music.
