A+ Driving School Students may start classroom driving lessons at age 14, take the Knowledge Test and obtain their Instruction Permit at age 15, and take the Road Test and obtain their Provisional License at age 16. To be eligible to take the Road Test, students must have had their Instruction Permit for a minimum of six months. Registration for A+ Driving School. Click here to go to the site to register. The Driver's Education Program is divided into two phases: Classroom Phase This phase includes the required 30 hours of classroom instruction that prepares the student to take the Minnesota permit test and to take on the responsibility of driving. If a lesson is missed, a make-up lesson can be arranged with the office at either the next Farmington session or at another A+ session. This portion can be taken virtually or in-person. Behind-the-Wheel PhaseAfter students pass the permit test, they are required to complete six hours of driving lessons. The lessons are provided in three, two-hour lessons. The lessons are one-on-one instruction with instructors licensed through the MN Dept. of Public Safety. Students can be picked up from and dropped off at home, school or work. Detailed information about scheduling the behind-the-wheel lessons will be provided by A+. Please note: you can only schedule these one at a time and they may be booked out a month or so. Can't Make Every Lesson? If you miss a lesson, you are responsible for making up that exact lesson number. You can attend any A+ classroom or any community education program to make up a missed lesson. Please call A+ the office the day before so we can add the student to the attendance roster. Disclaimer: This contract expires 2 years from the first day of classroom training or when the student turns 18, whichever occurs first. All classes and BTW lessons must be completed before the expiration date. The Driver's Education program is offered as a package (classroom instruction & behind the wheel lessons) and cannot be separated. Classroom Options In-Person at Farmington High School. If class is scheduled on a non school day or conference day- class will be made virtual. Virtual - set class dates and times with an instructor, class is all online. In Minnesota, all children must be screened before entering Kindergarten in a public school. All children have the right to receive a free Early Childhood Screening with age 3 being the recommended age. Children can be also screened at age 4 and 5. Early Childhood Screening is a free snapshot of how your child is growing, developing, and learning. Early Childhood Screening can connect families with resources in the community. Interpreter services are provided at no cost to families if needed. you must submit all of the following paperwork. You can either: 1. Print it out and submit it to Farmington Community Education 6100 195th St W, Farmington, MN 55044 or 2. Complete it electronically, save it, and email it to chenderson@farmington.k12.mn.us. Please note the screening appointment date in the subject line of the email. Each child will need all of the following: 1. Screening packet 2. One social/emotional questionnaire. Please complete one of the following based on the age of the child at the time of the screening. 36 months – 42 months of age 42 months and 1 day – 54 months of age Over 54 months of age 3. A copy of your child’s immunization record. (This can be in any format.) If you are a conscientious objector, please provide a copy of your notarized objection. Interpreters are provided at no cost to families. Please let us know if you or your child will need an interpreter during the screening. Please note that family members cannot interpret for children.

DASH Sports Ages 3-5 Flag Football Tykes DASH Sports Flag Football Tykes camps provide players with an introductory experience to the great game of football in a little to no contact safe environment. Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced. Fun, skill-based games will be played to practice newly learned skills. Athletes should bring a water bottle and wear athletic clothing & shoes (spikes/cleats are optional). Footballs and flag belts are provided. Parent participation is required for the 2-3yr old age group and recommended when needed for the 4+ year old age group.

Eco Elsa Forts and Fires (Ages 3–6 with Caregiver) Spark your child’s curiosity and love for the outdoors in this hands-on, nature-based class! Together, you and your little one will explore the basics of building shelters and learning about fire through safe, age-appropriate activities and playful games. Designed for early learners, Forts and Fires encourages creativity, problem-solving, and outdoor adventure. Caregivers will also gain ideas and inspiration to keep the learning going at home all year long. Come ready to play, learn, and explore—rain or shine!

Terrific Threes (3 years old – 45 mins) Introductory gymnastics skills are introduced along with reinforcing listening skills and following directions through the use of stations, circuits and props. The preschool program is designed to use gymnastics and fundamental body movements as a platform to build and strengthen confidence, positive self–image and problem solving skills in a safe environment. All payments will be charged one week before the classes begin on Wednesday.
